Senior Thesis This project involves the development of a metropolitan park for the city of Milwaukee. The project is located on the northern most point of Milwaukee County. It is located along County Line Rd. which divides Milwaukee County and Ozaukee County. The site was donated by Sidney Kohl, Allen Kohl, Herbert Kohl, and Dolores Kohl Solovy. The land was acquired by Milwaukee County Department of Parks, Recreation and Culture in the early 80's. The site is 201 acres and is divided by Highway 181 or North 76th St. The main goal of this project is: To develop a master plan for Park Site # 71 with a strong consideration on how the surrounding areas will develop in the future. Other aspects that must also be considered in the development of park site #71 are Economic, Political, and Social considerations.
